Gifts for Baby Boy Clinkscales

Technically my husband & I met Lewis working at the Texas A&M Challenge Course in 2004 or 2005, but we got to know him & his then girlfriend Sheridan when Tony began to work for the College Station Fire Department in March of 2006. Lewis & Tony were on C-shift at Station 2 until Lewis got moved out to Station 3. Tony & I were lucky to get to attend Lewis & Sheridan's wedding in April of 2007 and were super excited to find out that they were expecting a little boy in January 2009.

Lewis & Sheridan are decorating their little ones room in farm animals so I figured that a breastfeeding pillow with a John Deere fabric & a cozy bright blue fleece backing would be appropriate.

I had some spare fabric so I decided to try my hand at making a binkie. It turned out really nice and I hope that the little one finds it nice & cozy.

To go along with the farm animal theme, I used some red bandana ribbon to embellish a couple of burp cloths.

I also embroidered a burp cloth with the maltese cross & one of my favorite fire fighter fabrics so the little one can still feel close to his Daddy even when he's on shift.

Reiter Special Order

I made these two burp cloths for a friend of mine to give to two friends of hers who were expecting little ones. The families were Aggie fans so we chose the Aggie fabric.

Gifts for Baby Kinman

I met Julie when I was living in California from 1991-1994. We went to Junior High together at Chaminade Middle School in Northridge and have stayed in touch through the years since then. My husband and I were lucky enough to have Julie as one of the bridesmaids in our wedding in February of 2003, to be one of the first visitors to Julie & Jack's new home in September of 2003 and to be in attendance when Julie & Jack tied the knot in June 4, 2005. So it should come as no surprise that I absolutely ecstatic when I found out that Julie & Jack would be having a little girl in 2008. I got started working on a set of burp cloths and a matching breastfeeding pillow as soon as I heard.

I chose to use a sunflower fabric because its been one of Julie's favorite flowers for as long as I can remember. Then I chose coordinating embroidery thread for the burp cloths and a matching green fleece backing for the breastfeeding pillow.

Bailey, my lil' bit, picked out this blanket for Baby Kinman. I saw the fleece at Walmart one day and had to get some to make a blanket but I had several really cute blankets completed when it came time to put this gift together, so I let Bailey choose. I figured it would be her little contribution!

I hope that the proud parents-to-be like the gifts I made for their little one.
We can wait to meet her.
